to the needs of the community by offering a Christian Preschool program.
We are licensed by the state of Illinois and we are a non-profit
organization. St. Barnabas Christian Preschool admits students of
any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges,
programs and activities generally accorded or made available for students
of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national and ethnic origin in the Administration of its educational
policies, admissions policies, or other school administered programs. |

It is the philosophy of
this preschool that early childhood should be a time of fun, social,
emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth and development of
the child as a whole. Planned within the framework of the philosophy
and purpose, the curriculum includes sharing and conversation time;
stories, songs and finger plays; creative art projects and crafts; games
and large muscle activities; science and nature activities; exposure to
shapes, colors, numbers and letters; and celebration of birthdays and
holidays. |

Our Goals:
- To meet the basic needs of the
children's good health and physical development.
- To provide them with attention,
acceptance and affection.
- To offer them opportunities to
experience success in all areas of development.
- To foster their self-esteem and a
sense of competence.
- To encourage children's relationships
with God, adults and other children.
- To foster the unique abilities and
meet the individual needs of children.
- To formulate programs based on child
development and knowledge.
- To provide appropriate language and
cognitive experience.
- To help children feel secure and
comfortable in a setting away from parents and home.
- To strengthen parents understanding an
ability to nurture their children.
- To encourage children to respect and
care for others, the community and the world.
