Purpose
The purpose of Cary Methodist Preschool is to provide a Christian
environment in which children experience positive "hands-on" learning
that fosters spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional and physical
development. Classroom activities provide enriching experiences, which
are developmentally appropriate.
History
Cary Methodist Preschool was founded in 1973. In 1974 it became an
Illinois state certified preschool facility. Since that time the program
has grown and changed, and for the 2006-2007 school year, we are offering
nine classes. We are proud to say that we have two experienced
teachers for each class offered.
Our Program
Our curriculum provides opportunities for all children to increase their
social skills, cognitive development and physical coordination. Areas of
exploration include colors, the alphabet, weather, animals, nursery
rhymes, community helpers, transportation, dinosaurs, ocean and space
exploration, as well as seasonal holidays, just to name a few!
Preschool Board
A board of Directors governs the Cary Methodist Preschool This board
consists of up to 12 members, plus the preschool director and the pastors
of the church. The preschool board meets the second Tuesday of each month.
We encourage new families to set up appointments to visit our preschool
program before registration.
