Artist Guidelines

Eligibility: The Cary Arts Celebration is open to all artists 18 years and older who work in the following mediums: paintings, drawings, photography, graphics, ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts, original jewelry, and mixed media.
All entries must be approved by the Cary Arts Commission.
All Artists will be notified by August 9, 2005

Registration Fee: A $50 registration fee is required with each registration form. Artists not accepted into the show will receive a refund. Checks can be made payable to the Cary Arts Commission.

Awards: Artwork will be judged and
the following prizes will be awarded: 

                         Best of Show $300.00
                         First Reserve $200.00
                         Second Reserve $100.00


Display Specifications: Artists must supply their own tracks, tables, chairs and all other display equipment. The streets of downtown Cary including Jandus and Spring will be closed off to traffic. Parking will be available in the commuter lots near the train station. Artists will be given a designated space on the street approximately 10 x 10 feet. Artists can drive around barricades to their designated location to unload, then must park in the commuter lot.

Set-up begins at 8:00 a.m.
Exhibitors must be ready by 10 a.m. All artwork on display must be available for sale. Artwork must not be removed before 4 p.m.
